ABOUT BSLC PRESCHOOL

BSLC Preschool opened in October 2015 as an outreach ministry of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.

Research shows that children learn best through play.  At BSLC preschool we create a learning environment enriched in activities that foster student academic and social development growth through play and teacher directed activities.

Our program provides a balanced daily plan of activities with an emphasis placed on the overall development of cognitive, physical, social, emotional and moral/spiritual growth.  We provide a fun environment where children can learn to be independent and develop personal and emotional skills.  We encourage problem solving, cognitive thinking and self expression.  Children are introduced to reading, writing, counting, colors, shapes, numbers and more that will prepare them for kindergarten.

Some of the  academic and social skills we work on are the following: 

Math Skills: Counting, Sorting, Graphing, Shapes, Numbers

Reading Skills: Letters, Letter Sounds, Sight Words, Story Telling

Science Skills: Discover, Explore, and Observe

Pre-Writing Skills: Scissors skills, Holding a Pencil

Art Skills: Paint, Draw, Play-Dough, Use our Imagination

Social Skills: Listen and Follow directions, Share, Cooperate

Large Motor Skills: Run Outside, Ride Bikes, Dance to Music

Admission to BSLC Preschool is open to children regardless of race, religious affiliation or family circumstances. BSLC Preschool is licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS).
